toober generates revenue through a combination of subscriptions and advertising. Depending on how viewers access the platform, your channel may earn revenue through one or both of these sources.
Viewers can watch select content without creating a toober account. These viewers are supported primarily through advertising, which may include additional commercial inventory inserted by the platform.
Some viewers create a toober account, but do not subscribe to a paid plan. These viewers may still see platform-inserted advertising, though generally less than unregistered viewers.
Paid subscribers receive the premium viewing experience. No additional platform advertising is inserted into your channel feed beyond the commercials already contained within your linear broadcast. Revenue from these subscribers is distributed through toober's consumption-based revenue-sharing model.

Every toober subscriber pays a monthly subscription fee to access the platform's channel lineup.
Before revenue is distributed, platform fees are deducted. These are fees charged by device manufacturers, app stores, payment processors, streaming platforms, and other distribution partners that make toober available across connected TVs, mobile devices, the web, and legacy cable systems.
Because each platform has its own fee structure, the exact amount may vary depending on where a subscriber watches. However, the total platform fee deduction is capped at 30%.
Unlike traditional carriage models, toober rewards channels based on actual viewer consumption. Channels that actively promote their presence on the platform and build loyal audiences are positioned to earn a larger share of subscription revenue.

Of the revenue allocated to your channel:
If a subscriber watches only your channel during a billing period, your channel receives the full viewing allocation associated with that subscriber.
If a subscriber watches multiple channels, revenue is distributed proportionally based on viewing consumption.

A subscriber must watch a channel for at least five minutes during the billing month for viewing to be counted toward revenue allocation.
Partner settlements are issued in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Currency conversion is based on the receiving institution's applicable exchange rates.
Yes. Payments are released once the account balance reaches CAD $100.
Yes. Additional users can be added and managed through the Partner Portal by the primary account administrator.
